We are looking for Veterinary Assistant with MOCCAE License and minimum 2 years experience as veterinarian assistant, ready for immediate join.
Applicants must have experience in working within a small animal veterinary practices with a sound knowledge of blood sampling, urine analysis and x-rays.

You will be self-motivated with a positive attitude and have a warm and compassionate approach to our patients, clients and team. The role involves an element of people management and applicants should be able to work well within a team and demonstrate leadership skills.
Our clinic has excellent levels of digitized radiology equipment and well equipped in-house laboratory equipment. This will allow you every opportunity to work up and treat cases to your full potential. You will be working as part of a very qualified and supportive team which includes certificate holders in surgery and medicine that allows for the opportunity to share knowledge and further develop your skills.

Assist veterinary surgeons with operations
Prepare animals for surgery and perform some minor procedures, e.g. suturing wounds and dental hygiene
Monitor anesthesia
- Examine animals and check their health status
- Administer treatments including injections, fluids, and blood transfusions, place IV catheterizations and medicines
- Perform diagnostic tests, e.g. blood sampling, urine analysis and x-rays
- Dress wounds of injured animals
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the practice
- Handle scared or aggressive animals
- Confidently handle and restrain animals
- Take care of hospitalized cases
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, including patient monitoring and health checking, feeding, grooming and walking animals
- Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare and general care
Communicate with pet owners, gaining their trust and reassuring them about their animal’s treatment
- Educate pet owners on animal health, including vaccinations, worming, flea prevention and appropriate nutrition
- Update client records
Requirements:
- Work experience as a Veterinarian Assistant
- Experience conducting various vaccinations, and health checks on animals
- Knowledge of medical equipment (e.g. X-ray machines) and anesthesia procedures Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language
- Availability to take evening or weekend shifts in cases of emergency
- Ability to Conduct home visits occasionally, in case of emergency
- Patience and a love for animals
- UAE license
- Certificates attested by UAE relevant authorities
